What payment types do you accept?
Credit card and bank transfer.
Are payments safe?
Yes! We partner with Stripe to provide safe and secure payment processing.
How often are credits refreshed?
Credits are refreshed every 30 days. Need more credits immediately? Upgrade to a paid plan anytime.
I purchased a paid plan. Do my unused taps and project posts roll over to subsequent months?
For paid plans, unused taps and project posts will be valid for 12 months post-purchase.
How do I cancel a paid plan?
You may cancel your paid plan at any time via your settings page, or by submitting your request in writing to hey@magnify.network. When emailing us, please include “Plan Cancellation” in the subject line, and allow up to 3 business days for your request to be processed.
Do you have a refund policy?
As a rule, we do not offer refunds. While we make reasonable efforts to vet the operators that use our platform, we cannot guarantee the suitability of any operators for a client’s specific needs, or guarantee the quality, accuracy, and timeliness of any operator’s services provided to clients, or guarantee that any connection request(s) will be accepted. That said, please contact us if you are not satisfied with your experience. We’ll be happy to discuss any issues with you.
What types of startups do you work with?
We’re stage and industry-agnostic, though most of the startups on our platform are still in their earliest stages. At the moment, we’re laser-focused on helping startups meet their specific needs by matching them with talented operators, regardless of what stage they’re in.
What kind of help can I ask for?
Anything from technical, non-technical, to advisory needs! Popular projects include engineering, sales & marketing, product & design, and operations & strategy, to name a few.
How long does a typical project last?
Builders on Magnify are open to a wide range of opportunities, including hourly, part-time, full-time, and co-founder positions. We are a community-based platform and encourage our users to form long-term business partnerships.

Who gets invited to your platform?
We identify for the most ambitious early-stage startups and builders and through our AI-enable proprietary algorithm. We specifically focus on high quality operator profiles with significant startup experience and expertise, 40% of our operators are also boot-strapping founders.
How do I post a project?
Tap “create project” on your startup profile, and define the role, skills, and time commitment, as well as pay rate for your project. (Tip: You can see how your startup profile and projects appear to other members by selecting “public view” from the dropdown menu.) Startups on the Bootstrap plan get three project posts per month, and startups on the Accelerated plan enjoy unlimited project posts. Need to upgrade your current plan? Visit the payments page in your Magnify account to select a plan that works for you.
How do I connect with an operator?
Get in touch by tapping “connect’ on an operator’s profile. You’ll have the option to include a brief message indicating your interest. You’ll be notified once an operator accepts your request to connect, and you’ll be able to start conversations via the Magnify platform. To safeguard the privacy of our users, all pre-hire communication will take place via the platform. Once a hire is confirmed, you will receive the email address of the operator. Users on the free plan get 3 taps per month. Upgrade your plan to connect with additional operators.
I found an operator who looks like a great fit for a specific project at my startup. How do I get them to apply?
Easy! Tap “invite to project” on their profile, and they’ll receive an invitation to submit an application.
Can I meet a potential co-founder/operator prior to making a hire?
We strongly recommend that you set up a virtual meeting with operators to assess mutual fit before committing to a project. For ease of scheduling, consider using a tool like Calendly or When2Meet.
Will you send me optimal matches for my startup needs?
Not at the moment, but we’re working on AI that will help with this in the future! Presently, curated candidate lists are a premium feature only available to users on the Partnership plan.
Who owns the intellectual property of a project?
Unless agreed to otherwise (in writing), the ownership of work produced arising from the provision of the services is owned by the client.
What additional benefits do I receive as part of the Magnify community?

Does Magnify take a cut of my earnings?
Nope! You’ll get to keep 100% of your earnings.
When will I get paid?
Payment schedules vary from project to project. Details on pay rates and schedules are included in project descriptions.
How long do projects last?
Expect to find everything! Project ranges from part-time, fractional, full-time to founder-ship. We encourage you to check out project descriptions and contact the project owners directly.
How do I apply to a project?
Click on the “apply to project” button on a project post. You’ll have the option to include a personalized message indicating details such as your custom rate and project delivery timeline, if applicable. Interested startups may also send you an invitation to apply for an open role at their startup. You can view a list of active invites in your contracts section.

Can you guarantee that I’ll successfully find paying clients on your platform?
While we hope that you’ll find and develop many meaningful partnerships with startups and founders on our platform, we are unable to guarantee that any client will wish to purchase your services.
I’m an experienced operator and aspire to start my own company. Can I find a co-founder on Magnify?
Yes! We aspire to be a trusted platform for first-time founders to find great founding team members. You can filter for operators who are interested in a co-founder position, and send them a connection request to start a conversation.
Can you guarantee that I’ll successfully find a co-founder on your platform?
While we hope that you’ll find and develop many meaningful partnerships with fellow operators and founders on our platform, we are unable to guarantee that any specific individual will wish to work on your specific project.
Do I have to pay Magnify anything if I successfully find a co-founder on the platform?
No, you do not have to pay anything if you find a co-founder on Magnify (which we hope you will)! Unlike incubators or accelerator programs, we do not take any equity or payment from co-founder matching. That said, we hope you’ll come back to Magnify to find and hire operators on our platform when you’re ready to scale!
I’m a generalist who doesn’t necessarily have in-depth expertise in a single area of focus. Is Magnify right for me?
Yes! Early-stage startups love generalists who can stretch across multiple functions. Most startups on Magnify are still in their early stages, so there’s certainly a need for operators who fill a generalist skill set.
How can I improve my chances of getting hired by a startup, or connected to a founder?
While we can’t guarantee success outcomes, these best practices can go a long way:
Keep your profile sharp: Ensure your profile photo is high-resolution and shows your face clearly. Your “About Me” section should be engaging either in a creative way, or a more data-backed approach describing your greatest accomplishments and past companies you’ve worked with. It’s your time to shine—don’t be afraid to brag!
Keep your messaging relevant: Be sure to tailor your personalized note to the startup or founder/operator. Let them know why your background makes you a great fit for their project and team.
Proofread everything: First impressions can be make-or-break. Review your profile and personalized note(s) to ensure that everything is in good order.
